American Cichlid Association 2008

Gary Lange

Gary is a research biochemist for Pfizer in St. Louis.  He has been keeping fish since he was 10 and has been associated with the organized hobby for the last 27 years.  He is a member of the Missouri Aquarium Society (MASI).  He started taking fish photos when he realized that there weren’t any pictures of the fish that interested him the most.  He has had many pictures published in FAMA, TFH and especially AFI.  He published an article on digital fish photography for AFI in 2006.  He recently provided most of the photos for a new book by TFH on live foods.

Shooting Cichlids in the Digital World

Gary’s talk will be about the basic equipment that you’ll need to get good shots of your cichlids.  He’ll go through setting up for the best shot, how to take a good picture and things you should avoid in your pictures.  He’ll also go into some of the nuts and bolts of storing, saving, printing and working with your digital fish pictures.
